about

Karen Curtis is a veteran journalist who has covered news in Hawaii, Florida and New York over three decades.  As a traffic reporter in Miami, she investigated the apparent single car accident that killed Cheryl Ann Araujo on a rain-soaked South Florida roadway.

Cheryl's young daughters, whom she interviewed for the book, were with their mother during the crash.  They told FHP that a "white van ran mommy off the road."

This true crime novel  investigates the life and death of Cheryl Ann Araujo with actual crash scene photos and accident/autopsy reports.  It explores the possible connection her death may have had with her brutal gang rape that shocked the nation.
